Details: | Learn to thread your serger and balance tensions. Create a workbook complete with fabric swatches that you make yourself! Learn to make a quilt with your serger (pattern included)! Class fee also includes serger book! This class is four weeks (four sessions) and meets from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.. Students provide their own serger and basic sewing supplies. A supply list will be provided at enrollment. Supplies needed: Serger with power cords and attachments, instruction manual, scissors, seam ripper, tape measurer, 6" x 24" quilters ruler, rotary cutter and mat and any other items yu find helpful. You will be creating a notebook of sample stitches using a variety of fabrics such as cotton, denim, fleece, tricot, t-shirt knits, etc. Bring a variety of fabrics, 1 ' wide elastic, t-shirt ribbing (3"wide) serger thead ( one spool of red, green, blue, and yellow). Fabric for the quilt project will be discussed during the first class. The yardages will vary from the original pattern. |
