108: Learn to Use Your Serger!
Learn how to thread needles and loopers, set tension, and sew different stitches and fabrics with your serger. We will also create the "Easy Pieces Serger Quilt" by Linda Lee (pattern included).
What to bring:
Your serger, accessories, foot control, power cord and instruction manual.
Three ring binder, notepaper, pencil and glue stick or scotch tape.
Scissors (for fabric and for paper) and long tweezers.
4 serger cone threads (one each of red, blue, yellow and green)
Seam ripper, pins, and tapestry needle
Flashlight
Fabrics:
a variety of fabric remnants including one 12 x 12 inch piece
3 x 6 inch swatches of woven fabric, sweatshirt or t-shirt fabric, and tricot
t-shirt ribbing
scraps of elastic
seam sealant sucdh as FrayCheck or Fray-No-More
